EXPLORING RELIGION BEYOND THE CLASSROOM!

At Kith & Kin Montessori School, we believe that learning goes beyond the four walls of a classroom. To deepen our Foundation 3 and 4 pupils' understanding of the topic Religion, they embarked on an academic excursion on Thursday, 6th February 2025, visiting both a church and a mosque.

In the morning, the pupils visited The Redeemed Christian Church of God – Overcomers Parish, Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu, where Deacon Adeoye, a minister in the region, introduced them to instruments of worship, the concept of prayer, and the roles of church authorities.

Later in the afternoon, they visited ANWAR-UL ISLAMIC MOSQUE, TOS Benson Road, Ikorodu, Lagos, where they were taught how to perform ablution, observed how prayers are led by the Imam, and learned about objects used in Islamic worship.

It was a remarkable experience as our pupils—both Christians and Muslims—actively participated in each visit, demonstrating mutual respect and unity. They embraced the opportunity to learn about different faiths, reinforcing the value of peaceful coexistence and the shared belief in one Almighty God, the Maker of heaven and earth.

We appreciate our school management for making this enriching experience possible and extend our gratitude to our supportive parents. Together, we continue to nurture well-rounded, knowledgeable, and tolerant young minds.
